Sterling Manley was at the University of North Carolina from 2017 to 2021, and after a promising freshman campaign, his remaining time in Chapel Hill was hampered by injuries.

There was speculation online if a NBA Summer League invite would head Manley’s way and after participating in pre-draft workouts for the Charlotte Hornets and impressing in the Tampa Bay Pro Combine this off-season, the idea of an invite was becoming more likely. Then last week, Manley posted on his Instagram story a photo of the Chicago Bulls locker room, but still, nothing was confirmed.

According to multiple sources, Sterling Manley will be suiting up for the Chicago Bulls and should be officially confirmed soon when the Chicago Bulls announce their complete Summer League Roster for next week’s games. The Bulls schedule looks like this:

  • 9th August vs Pelicans
  • 10th August vs Spurs
  • 11th August vs Timberwolves
  • 15th August vs Grizzlies

Sterling Manley will be joined by fellow Tar Heels Day’Ron Sharpe (Brooklyn Nets) and Kenny Williams (Charlotte Hornets) in the NBA Summer League 2021.
