KJ Smith following in his Father’s footsteps.

KJ Smith will be working for ON3 Sports as a National College Basketball and Recruiting Analyst. ON3 Sports are a new college sports and recruiting digital media company launching in August 2021.

KJ Smith played 50 games for the University of North Carolina from 2018-2021 before starting his new career in sports media and following in his Father’s footsteps.

Smith spoke with ON3.com on his love for the game, understanding being brought up in a basketball family and starting this new chapter with On3 Sports.

KJ Smith is the son of legendary Tar Heel, Kenny ‘The Jet’ Smith (UNC 1983-1987). Kenny Smith has been working as a basketball analyst since 1998, most notably for his time as a studio analyst on NBA on TNT.
